My name is Kyle Mains, and I am currently a second year student at the University of Cincinnati studying Aerospace Engineering. I have a passion for Aerospace Engineering because I was once told that my only limit was the sky. Since then, I have dedicated myself to proving that I have no limits, not even the sky. I want to make an impact not only on the world, but also on what is beyond this world.

I am originally from the small town of Tipp City, Ohio and was drawn to the University of Cincinnati because of my love of big cities, the people, and the opportunities that UC provides. For my first semester, I was not apart of the University Honors Program. After hearing about the leadership and skill enhancing that UHP has to offer, I knew I had to be apart of it, and was beyond grateful to be accepted into the program. My hope is that UC and UHP will aid me in my journey of making the world a better place in any way that I can. A few opportunities that interest me are space travel and exploration, reduction of pollution from aircraft, and aerial defense.

 

Outside of academics, my hobbies include playing any kind of sport, metal

model building, and working out. Music has also always been a big part of my life,

whether it's singing it, playing it, or simply listening to it. Here at UC, I am involved

in the UC Rocketry Club, UC Piloting Club, and CubeCats, all of which appealed to

me due to my interest in Aerospace Engineering. I also happen to be quite

interested in the NFL, which helped me develop an unusual skill where I can

relate just about any random name to a player in the NFL, along with a

description of that player's position and team. Most people usually tell me

that my skill is completely useless, but I know one day I'll find a use for it.
